Use of Standards in Evaluation of School Leaders, Preparation Programs, and/or Other Purposes 
In February 2012, the Nebraska State Board of Education charged the State Department of Education with developing teacher and principal evaluation models based on the Nebraska Teacher and Principal Performance Framework for voluntary use by local districts. The state piloted this project in select districts in 2013-14.
Presence of Principal Supervisor Standards 
Nebraska's Model Principal Evaluation System is currently being field tested. It is expected that the tenets of the system would inform work of principal supervisors. The model is still under development and has not been formally adopted by the Board.
